I have 3 story prompts up right now. I probbaly have 75-100 jotted down somewhere.
This is the thread to give me suggestions for story prompts that you would like to see.
And please remember to try and keep these appropriate for the comic medium. That was the problem with a lot of the prompts I've found elsewhere, they worked great to help you come up with a story but it wasn't something that could really be translated to a comic story very well.

You should pin this topic to the top of the forum.
STORY PROMPT IDEA: The Origin of Art
Ever wonder where a famous artist got the inspiration for a painting? A sculpture? What REALLY happened to the Venus De Milo's arms? In this type of story, your audience will wonder no more because you're going to tell them. Be it fact or fiction, the idea is to draw attention to reknowned works of art and the often-interesting artists that created them.
Category, but not limited to: Historical fiction; Alternate History

I'll pin this topic to the top when I log in under the other name, this is my regular user name. The other name is for administrative stuff mostly.
Thats a freaking awesome idea. I may rewrite it a little bit but I would never have thought of that in a million years.
I have 10 prompts already in mind and I figure thats a good start.
I figure that I should put all the "official" prompts up just so numbering doens't get confused and people don't start posting stupid ones up.
I put your prompt up btw. I looked over my list and realized it was better then some of the ones I was going to put up.

Here's my DEATH PROMPT idea:
Give me your interpretation of death. this is more of a character study, therefore your interpretation can be presented either in a scene, a short character bio, a short narrative, comic book...heck, don't want to use dialogue, go ahead. whatever you come up with. the only condition: no scythe and skull cliche.

I may modify the suggested posts a bit but odds are, ill use most of them. If I do modify a post, I'll put the original prompt suggestion at the bottom and credit whoever came up with it.
I posted Ernesto's Death Prompt.
