DEVO, most definitely.
Pigface, Sonic Youth, Rasputina, the Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, Bis, Enon, KMFDM, Flogging Molly, and the Flaming Lips are also up there.
Tori Amos is my fave solo artist. With David Bowie, Chris Connelly, Peaches, Atom and His Package, and Holly Golightly following.

David Bowie is good too.
Okay guys, I want everyone to tell me they'll vote for me if I go on American Idol. I figure I have a real shot if I can go in and tell the judges I have like 1000 people who promised to vote for me multiple times.
Hopefully the net can do for comics what it did for music.

Dream Theater, without a doubt. Otherwise, my top 10 changes every month or so. I just love music in general

Try and check out some songs from "Scenes From A Memory". That was the first album I heard of theirs and it's still my favourite

Didn't DREAM THEATER do a lot of soundtracks in the 80s?

Nah, as far as I'm aware they've only appeared on one anime soundtrack, but that was just songs taken from an album rather than them composing for it. Apart from that, they didn't release their first album until '89.

just realized I never played...
My musical tastes range far and wide. I love jazz, hiphop, alt rock, classic rock, techno, new wave from the 80's...shit, country's about the only thing I just never got into. Unless you put Johnny Cash in there, and I don't think that's fair...
Some faves, either current or all time: Tom Waits, Nick Cave, U2, REM, Spearhead, Lyrics Born, Bright Eyes, The Clash, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Neil Young, Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco, Everclear, The Pixies, Rage Against the Machine, Neutral Milk Hotel....I could keep going, but i'd better not...

Neutral Milk Hotel... I dig that band a lot, too.
Found them by accident, typing random words into LIMEWIRE.
And no, Johnny Cash isn't country. I consider him rock n' roll through and through.
