Okay guys, this is the slate of projects I'm going to write for the first issue of PT.
I have three right now. I may add a fourth on in case theres a lack of material from other people but I'd rather do three. I'd rather see more of the magazine go to other people, especially when I am doing 3 projects.
I have maybe 5 others that I would like to get on the slate for future issues.
PROJECT #1: ADELAJA
A Southern Gothic Magical Realist Fiction with African elements, its about two teenage girls who live in a small town in the rural South where disputes are settled by a mysterious figure, but does he in fact have magical powers?
Probably going to be 4 chapters (maybe 5 if I find a lot more stuff I want to explore). The first one is 8 pages. The second, third and fourth ones will probbaly be in more of the 10-15 page range. The story will probably run 35-50 pages when it is finished and I'd like to collect it in a single volume then.
PROJECT #2: THE PLAGUED
A horror story set during the social turmoil of the Black Death. What happens when you take an environment of mystical heresies, everyday violence, and a feeling that the world is going to end any day and throw a monster in there? This story deals centers around a minor lord in England, his daughter, his lord, his court physician and the new abbott of the monestary.
This will probably run 16 chapters or so. Probably about 180-200 pages in total, enough for a nice digest sized volume or like 3 collected editions.
PROJECT #3: THE FAUST FAMILY
This follows the adventures of an offbeat family of Superpowered-Americans. Sports car designed Andreas Faust lived with his two wives, his nephew and his two pseudocelebrity teenage children in a huge mansion with ghosts and giant lizards and then some really weird things. Conflict ensues when the heir to a large retail chains invites the Fausts to his vacation home for the weekend, a vacation that is only complicated when people start turning up mysteriously dead and a giant monster appears. What is a family of post-superheroes to do?
