American Virgin has really let me down. He has one more issue before I give up on it.
I've read the first half of Crusades and that was awesome. As was Sandman Mystery Theatre, House of Secrets, Alpha Flight (probably the only decent take on them yet).

Also check out his B/W graphic novel Solstice. That's good stuff. I obught the first issue of it from when it came out before. Dont have the full version. Funny story: Seagle sent me a b/w preview of the first issue waaaay back before it originally came out (early 90's?). Then I could never find the second issue, so I wrote him, and he personally sent me a copy of #2. That's what I mean about a helluva nice guy. Of course, like everyone else, I had to wait 10 years for the final chapter as part of the recently released graphic novel. And it was very good.

Back in the day, DC comics had a presence on AOL.com -- so one of my earliest online forays was hitting the DC message boards. Seagle used to be there to talk about House of Secrets and Primal Force.
Then he used to go to the Oakland Wondercon when I lived in the Bay Area, so at one point I met him, Joe Casey and Duncan Rouleau. Since then we've exchanged a few emails, and I usually talk to him at the San Diego con, if he's there.
So nothing extraordinary -- he was just one of those creators who was always friendly, approachable, and willing to talk about writing.

I plan on seeing this movie at a drive in theater this weekend (Talk about Nostalgia!) and I'm excited. My biggest disappointment in any Superman production ever made is why Lex...why him again? When you have a superhero such as Superman that can literally dish out and take an enormous amount of damage/beatings...why have a mind teaser of a plot and solution?
MOVIES IS MAGIC! Let's get on the bandwagon and pipe the $hit right off the screen! I wanna see Supes throw fisticuffs with Doomsday, or Bizarro let's get some city wide destruction! Yes...I'm shallow but Superman movies should require James Cameron-like special effects.
